Whats on your moon?

I got my first ever moon the other day and have started building it up, and im noticing how quickly the lunar base res are rising up and im only at level 4 so what facitlities do you have on your moon.

Robotics Level 4
Shipyard Level 2
Lunar base Level 4
Sensor Level 2
no gate
no defenses yet

1st moon:
Robotics Level - 5
Lunar base Level - 5
Sensor Level - 4
Jump Gate - lvl 1 on build

2nd moon:
Robotics Level - 5
Lunar base Level - 3
Jump Gate - lvl 1 on build

I don't understand why anyone is building shipyards on moon, or defence, because the slots in moon are quite expensive in the long run.

No defense - I never build defense on a moon. Not really all that worth it.
I will get a jumpgate if I ever get a second moon.

i was thinking that about the defense i didnt really see the point either. I think ill tear it down and build up my robotics to build a jump gate

i think u need def on moons, i was crashed twice on my first two moons only a day or two in, my fleet arived an was a sitting duck with nothing to protect them,
70% fleet crash i suffered on the second one too,

My main moon: 2 Robotics, 4 Lunar base, 5 phalanx and 1 jump gate

I tore down my robotics factory after the jump gate was done as I wasn't in a terrible rush for each level of the phalanx to be done, as I don't really use it atm.

Question:

Now I have my second Moon I thought I'd start to build Jumpgates. However Tech Tree states I have 0/7 Research Lab (and 0/1 Energy Technology). I do not appear to have any option to build a research lab on a moon and I am lvl 12 Energy Technology.

What's going on?!

u dont need to build the research lab on ur moon, that is just telling u the requirements for getting the tech lvls high enough...

u need a lvl 1 lunar base, lvl 5 energy, 5 sheilding, and 7 hyperspace tech....

That's what I thought. But it's still saying requirements not met. May be a bug because I can't even tear down my shipyard 1 lvl to make space because 'requirements are not met' (I have loads of each resource sitting on moon.

Maybe after 3.00am (when bugs tend to depart) I'll be able to move forward on my moon?
